For the performance Frank en Stein I was asked to produce the costumes for the cast. For this, I received the sketches and inspiration images in order to bring their vision of the costumes to life.
About the play
Directing duo Stan Slap and Ollie Stick take you into the magic of the film industry. They show the famous film Frankenstein, about professor Frank who wants to bring a monster to life. The film has been running in cinemas all over the world for almost a hundred years, but this time something strange is going on. The film seems broken… Stein, Frank’s monster, refuses to keep playing! He is tired of always being portrayed as the villain. In reality, Stein is not a monster at all, but an artist. He does not want to spread fear, but would rather share his art with the world. Will Stein succeed in escaping his story and making his dreams come true?
Frank&Stein is a family performance by theater group Gewoon leuk, consisting of young Rotterdam makers. This performance is fully accessible to both hearing and deaf and hard of hearing children and adults. Sign language and induction loop are used so that everyone can enjoy. Guaranteed fun for everyone from six to one hundred and six years old.
